Benzene Snowflake

Who says snowflakes need to be fancy?

A simple crochet snowflake based on the benzene molecule

Dimensions: small. The sample seems to have gone into hiding, but it's about 1.5"-2" across (4-5cm).

Supplies:

Hook: US 7 steel (unmarked, 1.5mm?)
Yarn needle: To weave in ends
Blocking supplies: pins, starch, blocking board. For this flake, I dissolved a teaspoon (5g) of sugar in a teaspoon (5ml) of water, and heated it in a microwave oven for 10 seconds. When it was cool, I used that as the solution. You can also use laundry starch or white glue.

Yarn:
Sissy 5 - small amount
